|
| DJ Sportscars 1999-specification Rush | |
| Independent rear suspension option | |
| Powder coated | |
| Stainless steel roll-over bar | |
| Explosafe-filled aluminium fuel tank |
This is a Rover V8 engine (based on a 3.5 litre 1986 Vitesse) with:
| Weber 500cfm 4-barrel downdraught carburettor & Edelbrock performer manifold | |
| Stage 2 heads | |
| Viper Hurricane fast road camshaft | |
| Mallory dual-point distributor with vacuum advance | |
| Moroso high-power coil | |
| Uprated oil pump | |
| Remote oil filter | |
| Uprated radiator | |
| Rover Vitesse clutch | |
| Rover 5-speed manual gearbox | |
| Twin stainless steel 4-into-1 side pipes |
I bought the whole engine / gearbox assembly from someone in Surrey. He had recently rebuilt it and had it running in a Rover P6, where I experienced it shifting a ton and a half of old Rover at quite a lick!
The engine should be good for well over 200bhp. I'll have it rolling-road tuned and measured once the dreaded SVA has been passed!
| Independent rear suspension with Ford Sierra XR4x4 rear hubs, shafts, disc brakes and limited-slip differential | |
| Ford Cortina MkV front uprights, hubs and disc brakes on Dax wishbones | |
| Gas adjustable Spax coil-over-shock units | |
| 3-piece alloy wheels (Image RS7 type) with 205/50R15 front tyres and 225/50R15 rear tyres | |
| Sierra collapsible steering column, with control stalks | |
| Escort MkII steering rack |
| Aluminium side panels and bonnet | |
| British Racing Green (cycle) wings, nose, scuttle and rear section | |
| Full windscreen | |
| Washers and wipers | |
| Heater (for SVA compliance only :-) | |
| Round headlamps |
